St. Elizabeth Ann Seton - Pocket Saints
About St Elizabeth Ann Seton Pocket Saint
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American Saint to be canonized, suffered many personal tragedies. On a trip abroad for her husband's health, her husband fell ill and died - only a few years after their marriage. Captivated by the kindness of those she met before she returned home, she became interested in the Catholic faith, eventually becoming Catholic. She started the first free Catholic school in the US. After becoming a Sister, St. Elizabeth continued to have a deep devotion of Jesus & Mary. St. Elizabeth is the patron saint of schools, students, teachers, widows, and more!
