St. Martin de Porres - Pocket Saints
About St Martin de Porres Pocket Saint
St. Martin de Porres was a humble man of eminence faith. Due to discriminatory laws in Peru and his own humbleness, St. Martin applied to work as a "helper" of the Dominicans. As his faith progressed, his brothers in faith turned a blind eye to the law and requested that he take vows as a member. St. Martin had a deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, had miraculous knowledge, bi-location, and many other amazing graces given to him by God. Throughout, St. Martin was humble and often said that everyone's work, even the most menial, was sacred. St. Martin de Porres is the patron saint of barbers, hairdressers, social justice, those of mixed-race, and the poor.
